"I am very grateful to the Salesians for the contributions they have made to my life."

-Pope Francis

The Salesian spirit lived by Don Bosco is characterized by an optimistic and humanist view of education. His calling was to bring hope to thousands of poor youth and instill in them confidence and the skills needed for a better life.

Today, more than 30,000 Salesians (priests, brothers and sisters) continue to carry out this work around the globe.

Although the work is extremely challenging, Salesians believe (just as Don Bosco did) that every young person has the ability within themselves.
